Our Story

Building Community Through Basketball

The Southern Maryland Youth Basketball Organization was founded by a dedicated group of coaches who believed in the power of sport to build community.

Our mission is to foster youth development for high school-aged athletes through basketball by promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. We envision a supportive environment where every young athlete can thrive, gain valuable life skills, and create lasting friendships. Together we aim to inspire a passion for the game and a commitment to personal growth that extends beyond the court.

Our Legacy

Shaping Young Athletes

Our local program is making history by competing on the nationally recognized Uncle Drew Circuit. This groundbreaking opportunity not only paves the way for our talented athletes but also elevates the athletic profile of St. Mary’s County. By embracing this challenge, we are building a legacy that inspires future generations of athletes. We look forward to witnessing the impact this milestone achievement will have on St. Mary's county youth sports.

We take great pride in shaping the future of youth basketball, nurturing both skills and character in young athletes.
